Jill Fanner – PG DMS, Chartered MCIPD

Jillian Fanner

Jillian known as ‘Jill’, has had an enjoyable L & D career journey, so far!
She cut her teeth in the Career Service engaging with schools organising and advising on Careers Libraries before joining the newly formed Open Learning Unit as Information & Marketing Officer, where learning and people development became a passion. The unit soon gained national recognition for best practice and Jill loved being at the hub of this excitement and also launched their first Women Returners training programme.

Moving to London, Jill thrived in her role as Programme Manager for the Open College’s Corporate Tailored Learning. Managing a network of freelance trainers/facilitators and ensuring the Supervisory and Management programmes were delivered to the high standards of the relevant awarding bodies. Jill soon built up a reputation for quality and managed a number of excellent diverse clients’ such as Harrods, BUPA, V & A Museum, BFI, AGI, OTIS, BAA, Abbey National, Unilever, Dept. of Health and the Dept of Trade & Industry (DTI).

Her personal journey has taken her to the other side of the world where she spent time as an internal HR Consultant working with ‘C’ level Executives on Competencies and Succession Planning and promoting a world-class "Learning Organisation" .

Following a spell as a Business Adviser with Scottish Enterprise, She was then head-hunted to run a Training organisation with 10 training centres and a headcount of over sixty staff delivering innovative welfare to work programmes. This challenging role cemented some of her key ethical values, whilst gaining broad based high level experience of HR, Finance, Quality and Operations.

Jill is immersed within the world of Talent Acquisition and enjoyed the freedom of being a valued Associate with Blue Eskimo, whilst managing her own Industry-Leading Clients. She is proud to hold a PG Management Diploma from the Nottingham University Business School and has been a Chartered MCIPD for too many years to admit!

She is sociable (Sunshine Yellow in Insights Speak), fun to work with, and genuinely cares. Jill has travelled extensively, but loves being back home in Scotland where she enjoys walking her two dogs, family & social events and endeavours to fit in the Gym and Yoga.

A note from Jill:

“I’m truly blessed being part of this exciting venture and together with my Associate/Partners we will deliver an enviable quality service to our clients and candidates”.
