Jill was asked if she could take on the challenge of finding a native German speaking Solution Architect for one of the top HCM software providers. At this time, Solution Architects were in demand with a scarcity of talent within the Learning/HCM software industry. To find someone in the UK who also had excellent German business experience and language skills with Learning and HCM technology experience was indeed a substantial challenge.
Having a strong network within the industry does help a great deal, but in this case it was down to some good research into the world of IT meets learning professionals. It took time to investigate which companies may have employees with the skillset required and who had DACH clients, but the good groundwork and research paid off.
A robust process of screening and competency interviews led to our preferred candidate, who excelled in every aspect and remained engaged and passionate about the role throughout the process.
Working in partnership to onboard this specialist in a timely manner was important, as was meeting the expectations of the successful candidate. An appointment was made and the successful candidate very soon became a pivotal team member who earned great respect from her colleagues and clients alike.
